How can a city be mended? How to connect the different realities that make up Ljubljana and find what is common? This practice can be imagined as a kind of mycelium of encounters, performative acts, learning processes, storytelling sessions, night wakes… through which, in collaboration with local artists, poets, advocates for the rights of all living beings, disillusioned architects and other discrete activists of the invisible, we create and share new intimate utopias of the city based on the notion of ‘repair’, as a way of exercising the collective imagination.
Choreographer Ivana Müller (presenting for the fifth time at the Mladi Levi festival) and theorist and dramaturge Bojana Kunst together with a team of local collaborators, explore the idea of healing and sharing a city as our common body through performative actions, conversations and workshops with local collectives and associations. These encounters constitute the basis for the production of a “new” map , a large embroidery whose threads will record the stories of the diverse “storytellers”, weave narratives of cities and offer possibilities for future repairs that are open and available for appropriation.
