Maciej Kuźmiński: FOUR SEASONS

The performance is hosted at the Old Power Station as part of the Beyond School program, which is part of the international project Beyond Front@ - Bridging Periphery. Maciej Kuźmiński’s Four Seasons is a celebration of life depicted in a kaleidoscope of images, unraveling in a mesmerizing and complex dance composition. Created for the company of seven dancers of Central Europe Dance Theater, one of the oldest dance theaters in Hungary, the work brings on stage the most characteristic elements of Kuźmiński’s choreographic style and new endeavors into reinterpreting Folk tradition. In its ever-morphing structure, Four Seasons weaves Nature and Culture, rebirth, and return, becoming a wider metaphor for life as flux. The performance is followed by the Audience Council - a discussion of the audience about the performance.
