As part of the Drugajanje festival, this debate will touch upon the economy—an aspect often overlooked when discussing culture.
Culture is one of many sectors where there is never enough money. What are the economic models that do not rely on the logic of profit? What mechanisms of mutual cooperation and support exist beyond mainstream narratives? Around the world, various alternative systems—such as cooperatives, time banks, and LETS (Local Exchange Trading Systems)—foster new forms of collaboration. Are there successful examples from the cultural sphere that we can apply to our daily lives? What are the alternatives to the monetary system we are embedded in? Do we want or need such alternatives in our own communities?

In this debate, we will seek answers to these questions and critically reflect on the current state of affairs.
