Mladi levi | MANIFEST LESS
How can we live, create, and collaborate at a time when the world feels like it’s falling apart faster than we can understand it? And how can we still imagine a future that isn’t built solely on exploitation – of human and non-human animals, of space, time, and the planet?
manifest less is a two-day event that uses art, conversations, community, and practical tools within the Mladi levi festival to open up a space for reflecting on alternative ways of living and working in the arts and culture sector, as well as beyond it. It emerges at the intersection of the Festival SPA, Greenstage, and Less Is More projects, yet seeks to avoid piling up final reports, manuals, and publications used to prop up wobbly table legs, as well as presentations where we sit already convinced and converted.
In the spirit of degrowth, as well as SPA-style enjoyment and experience, we don’t want to stop at simply presenting results. We are less interested in project conclusions and more interested in the beginning of new collaborations and connections, and in making use of what is already existing, tried and tested, and possible.
Over the course of two days, ŠD Tabor will be transformed into a space for encounters and the exchange of ideas. The programme combines lecture performances, exhibitions, installations, debate cafés, listening rooms, consultations, walks, hands-on workshops, and discussions on sustainability, degrowth, community, cultural production, and a future we can still imagine differently. The event features artists, researchers, activists, and organisations from Slovenia and abroad.
Come listen to a lecture, relax in the listening room, debate degrowth, check out an art installation, or just take a little break.
