MLADI LEVI FESTIVAL: Colletiv0 Cinetic0 & Alessandro Sciarroni: THIRD DIALOGUE: IN A LANDSCAPE

The multi-award-winning Italian choreographer Alessandro Sciarroni, whose works focus on repetition, obsessions, fears and fragility, comes to Ljubljana this time with his performance Third Dialogue: In a Landscape, in dialogue with the artistic collective ColletivO CineticO.
The title of the performance is inspired by the John Cage composition, created to “sober and calm the mind”, which builds a soundscape of dancers. Surrounded by hula hoops, they spin their bodies with impressive ease. Through sound and choreography, the dancers slowly disappear, leaving only the hula-hoops. Sciarroni describes them as “interpreters, figures directed towards what seems to be a sense of calm determination that strives towards disappearance: towards the voluntary extinction of the subject”. As the interpreters attempt to disappear, the spectators and the reality around us also dissolve into atoms.
