Mladi levi | Andreja Kargačin, Dora A.: DORA OR WHO WILL STITCH THE VESTS? – SOLD OUT

performance

Serbian student protest activist Dora A. has been living in asylum in Croatia for over a year, along with five of her colleagues. Together with six other co-organisers of the protests, she stands accused of undermining the constitutional order for her role in organising the protest actions and blockades of the Serbian student movement. Dora A. is also a friend of Andreja Kargačin, a young director from Novi Sad. Their friendship is currently limited to written correspondence, which became the foundation for this performance, created during a time of active student protests and state repression. This state repression has also targeted cultural institutions – such as the cancellation of the Bitef Festival, which sparked the creation of the independent, guerrilla-style Ne:Bitef Festival, co-organised by Andreja Kargačin and some of the other team members behind the performance.
