Jaka Železnikar: PRIVATE PROPERTY — ACCESS FORBIDDEN (UPDATED)
online intervention
Private Property — Access Forbidden (Updated) is a short generative work of e-literature. It derives from the author’s work, which he presented publicly last year at the Zoom festival in Rijeka. At the Mladi Levi Festival, Železnikar expands on his work – with new topical dimensions of restrictions. Private Property — Access Forbidden (Updated) takes place in 2026, in a world order where everything is privatized, governed by the invisible hand of the market. By clicking on the selected location, visitors can find out information about the ownership of the location, about the administrative and logistical access restrictions, and about the financial conditions of the visit – the latter are typically very restrictive, except for the richest handful. Jaka Železnikar is an artists at the crossroads of poetry, visual art and online programming, and is a pioneer of Slovenian e-literature.
