GOLDEN LIGHTNING AWARDS

Last year, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Old Power Station, we presented the Golden Lightnings for the first time – awards celebrating the standout achievements of the past season at the Old Power Station. We are presenting the awards again this year, with the same intention: to highlight remarkable events and creators who have shaped the season, to congratulate each other, and to spend time together.
This year’s award ceremony will take place in the charming atmosphere of a mid-morning gathering, right in the middle of a vibrant festival week – with tasty bites and mimosas.
Golden Lightnings are above all awards that the scene gives to the scene – to its fellow artists, collaborators, and, for the more sensational types, even to their rivals! This year’s five-member award jury consists of Mateja Bučar, Klara Drnovšek Solina, Špela Kopitar, Katarina Stegnar, and Benjamin Zajc. Sparks might fly at the ceremony, but one thing is certain – golden lightnings will be awarded.
You are warmly invited to the award ceremony, hosted by Katarina Stegnar – and to a gathering of artists, audiences, producers, and everyone who, in one way or another, helps create or takes part in the Old Power Station’s program.
