Mladi levi | Francesca Berardi: HAMLET OR F.O.M.O.

performance

Hamlet or F.O.M.O. brings two bodies, microphones, light, sound, and hesitation face-to-face on stage. For the body itself has become a stage that we must constantly optimise, present, and stage. The Italian groups Collettivo Collegamenti and Asini Bardasci, which developed the performance as part of the international TestArt project – of which Bunker is also a part – attempts to connect Kierkegaard’s concept of choice as an inevitable drama, Bauman’s description of liquid modernity as a time of instability and paralysis in the light of unlimited choices, and the online slang term F.O.M.O. – fear of missing out – which captures the anxiety of being left out or not being present.
Alongside the performance, two installations will be on display: I Never Gave You Anything, an archive of unfinished letters, abandoned ideas, and unrealised possibilities, and To Be or Not to Be – an installation for a single visitor and a multiplicity of questions.
