A Week for Technoburlesque
The interweaving of collective work, public workshops and work displays will aim to establish a safe space for research, encounters, physical exercise, reflection on identity, and performance strategies, while taking into account the boundaries of personal space through dialogue between the performer and observers. The performative work will be juxtaposed with the issue of music and sound, viewing practices and examples, and also lectures: “Queering the dominant” – about the history and subversive potential of queerness; “The emergence of technoburlesque Image Snatchers” – about strategies of appropriation, recycling, and intertextuality.

The Feminalz collective’s residency will take place at the Old City Power Plant – Elektro Ljubljana from 1. 5. to 13. 5. 2026.

Workshop Snatcher, put your make up on! under the mentorship of Tinka Prpar will take place in Old Power Plant Elektro Ljubljana on Monday, 4th May from 10am until 1.30 pm and from 2.30 pm until 6pm.
