Ich kann nicht anders has certainly stood the “test of time” after ten years of continuous staging, the performance remains relevant, topical, and it has its own audience. Set in the claustrophobic atmosphere of Bertolucci’s The Dreamers and in the sarcastic, apocalyptic Houellebecqian style, the three protagonists simply talk, talk, talk… worte, worte, worte.
The performance is full of prophecies that have since come true, as well as autofictional fragments in which the artists  to whom the “auto” in autofiction refers have distanced themselves from their own selves over the past ten years.
Audience members from ten years ago and those who have seen the performance today will discuss their viewing experiences and journeys, attempting to examine the relationship between fiction and facts within the context of time.
