Snježana Premuš: WORKSHOPS
* All places have been filled!
Snježana Premuš’s projects cultivate different formats of work, which enable the visitor/viewer in various ways to access an experiential and more insightful penetration into art and work.
The author conceived the dance performance/installation Time in Sight as a horizontal, generative choreography, in which the viewer’s eye frame can become a dynamic, patient and creative insight into the group’s work, formed through various processes of movement and modulation, in the form of an “etude”. Etudes – the author is developing the format on the border between exercise, study and autonomous work of art that deals with an individual principle, score, or element, the latter of which she replays, develops, practices. It is a process and a manifestation of the experienced, its condition and consequence.
In the 2020–21 season, she developed various forms of project presentation together with her colleagues, which she will present through a series of events between May 23 and May 29, 2022. She is expanding the stage material into an audio-visual medium in which choreography takes place in new spaces of alterations of movement, revealing different perspectives on the temporality of movement and its perception. The events will also include somatic workshops and a public rehearsal with a study group of younger generation dancers who joined the research work and education in 2020 and 2021.
As part of the May events, the visiting Zagreb based partner organization Multimedijalna koliba (“Multimedia Hut”) will present the performance “Water” by Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović. The dance installation “Good Water” is the third piece in a series of performances “What is coming?”, in which the author explores movement as the basis of our knowledge of the world and of establishing relationships, interconnectedness and connection with the environment of which we are part.
