CANCELLED – MLADI LEVI FESTIVAL: Lea Kukovičič, Toni Soprano Meneglejte: TRANCE

In her new project TRANCE, artist Lea Kukovičič invites curators to write letters. She asks them questions about how they see the failures and flaws of the art world system and what their advice is for the future. The first part of the artist’s two-year oeuvre will be presented in the experimental form of a dance exhibition. Kukovičič invites the audience to dance to the curators’ answers while listening to a Glorex DJ set in an almost invisible “autonomous zone” created by artist Toni Soprano Meneglejte. The act of dancing to the thoughts of individuals unmistakably linked to positions of power speaks to the central themes of the project – what are the limits of criticality and creativity?
