George Garzone, world–famous saxophonist and professor at the Berklee College of Music, is visiting Europe, and also coming to Slovenia for the first time. George Garzone is one of the most renowned saxophone players in the world, along with names such as Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Chris Potter, and Joshua Redman. He is also one of the most influential professors and a major inspiration for young generations making a name for themselves.

He has recently released a CD titled Crescent featuring Esperanza Spalding and Leo Genovese. On this year’s tour he will introduce some of the songs from the new CD, accompanied by exceptional some of the most talented musicians of the younger generation: Vladimir Kostadinović (AUT/SRB), considered one of the best European jazz drummers; Lenart Krečič, saxophonist, arranger, composer; and brilliant bass player Roy Hargrove Ameen Saleem (USA/ITA). In addition to the introduction of the new album by George Garzone, the musicians will also perform some of the songs from other members of the group.
