Thaddeus Phillips is an actor, theatre director, dancer and puppeteer. He lives andworks in the USA and it is there that he established the international theatre group Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental. The solo performance ¡El Conquistador! is a story about a Columbian farmer, who moves to a big city and works as a doorman in a fancy building. His everyday life soon transforms into a dramatic and crazy soap opera. Asit enters this genre, tension, seduction, murder, revenge and redemption are mixedin a whirl of movements. Supposedly Shakespeare’s tragedies are the main inspiration for Latin soap operas.
As some critics say, the DNA of Thaddeus Phillips could include traces of Charlie Chaplin, Rowan Atkinson and even Albert Einstein.
